Developing sustainable construction materials to mitigate environmental impacts remains crucial in the construction industry. This study investigates the impact of aluminum stearate additives on autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks produced with sustainable materials such as fly ash, ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS), construction and demolition waste (CDW), and glass powder. Blocks were manufactured using an accelerated curing tank to reduce production time and enhance efficiency. The mechanical properties evaluated included compressive strength, flexural strength, block density, and water absorption. Results demonstrated significant improvements in mechanical strength when aluminum stearate was included with 100% GGBS, presenting the highest compressive strength. The study confirms the viability of incorporating aluminum stearate in sustainable AAC production, suggesting significant potential for cost-effective and environmentally beneficial construction materials. The novelty of this study lies in the introduction of aluminum stearate as a hydrophobic modifier within AAC containing fly ash, GGBS, CDW, and glass powder. This approach enhances pore regulation and moisture resistance, which are seldom explored in AAC systems using industrial by-products.
